The Ride

This is a great longer flat ride… OK, so 1000+ elevation might not be so flat for some, but you take what you can get (100m per 10km isn’t too bad!). This is an out and back ride with a couple of small climbs at about 30km and 60km. Be careful on the Nowra streets and definitely take the bike path over the Norwa bridge.

Short intro.

From the Bike Shop

  • Leave Berry via Wharf Rd/Coolangatta Rd (over train line)

  • 5.6km - Turn right onto Bryces Ln (aka Back Forest Rd on Strava)

  • 14.4km - Right onto Bolong Rd

  • 22.2km Left onto Princess Highway - take the shared cycleway/footpath from the lights and over the bridge.

  • 22.9km Follow shared cycleway/footpath around to the left and back under the bridge (alternate route - at the lights turn left onto Pleasant Way, left onto Hawthorn Av and Left onto Riverview Rd and then follow bike path under the bridge)

  • Follow Scenic Drive west along the river. At the intersection continue right towards the hospital, keeping the river on your right.

  • 24.5km Left onto North St and then first right onto West St.

  • 25.5km Continue straight on Bainbridge Cr

  • 25.8km Continue straight on Jervis St

  • 26.3km Right on Berry St

  • 27.0km Right at the roundabout onto Albatross Rd

  • 27.6km right onto Yalwal Rd

  • 37.8km Continue straight onto Burrier Rd

  • Continue until the end of the bitumen (45.8km)

  • Return via the same route.
